TeamViewer & Google Meet unite for seamless IT support

Today

TeamViewer has announced its integration with Google Meet, enhancing remote support capabilities for users.

Google Meet, widely used for workplace communications, will now benefit from TeamViewer's remote access and troubleshooting functionalities. This integration allows businesses to handle technical issues directly within the platform, eliminating the need for alternative applications.

The addition of TeamViewer's Remote Control add-on enables remote support sessions to be initiated directly within a Google Meet environment. Users can connect through their web browsers without requiring additional installation, and those not currently using TeamViewer can join via an automatic download. This feature is designed to address issues visually, streamlining problem resolution beyond traditional communication methods such as chat, VoIP, and video calls. Furthermore, the ability to initiate support sessions during live meetings enhances efficiency and collaboration.

Stefan Prestele, Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances at TeamViewer, commented on the development: "Businesses today rely on Google Meet for communication, yet technical disruptions can easily derail productivity. By integrating TeamViewer's powerful remote access capabilities, we're enabling teams to collaborate more seamlessly, offering instant IT support during meetings, troubleshooting issues in real-time, and resolving complex problems without switching between apps."

Emphasising user convenience, the integration upholds TeamViewer's established security protocols. IT professionals can offer remote support directly through a browser, facilitating swift response times. Additionally, the setup process for end-users is designed for simplicity, negating the need for complicated installations.

The TeamViewer add-on is now accessible via the Google Workspace Marketplace, enabling businesses to integrate the tool into their Google Meet operations.
