Solid State Logic has launched TCA Tour, a portable version of its System T platform for touring and broadcast production.

Aimed at broadcast, touring and live production, the system is designed for crews that need a compact setup that can move between locations and be deployed quickly on site and on the road. It is built entirely from System T components.

TCA Tour centres on a new desktop control frame with 16 faders and integrated onboard I/O. The fully pre-wired unit includes eight mic/line inputs, four line outputs, headphone monitoring, a built-in network switch, and an adjustable mount for a touchscreen and a PC running the Tempest Control App.

Users can choose between two fader tile versions, DFT and DFT+. The DFT+ adds per-fader OLED displays and individual fader metering.

For touring applications, the system uses etherCON and opticalCON connections to external racks housing Tempest Engines and I/O hardware. Depending on the I/O configuration, the full setup is split across two or three flight-cased modules, each weighing under 23kg including the case.

System compatibility

TCA Tour works with all System T DSP engines, including TE1, TE2 and VTE. It also integrates with Solid State Logic's Network I/O products and supports third-party Dante, AES67 and ST 2110 devices, reflecting the wider shift in professional audio toward audio-over-IP workflows in live and broadcast environments.

The system can also be expanded with System T Remote Fader Tiles. Users can add dedicated monitor and main fader controls through a Remote Master Tile.

The launch brings System T into a more compact format for operators who need to carry their own console into temporary venues, outside broadcasts and other remote production settings. That market has grown as broadcasters, live sound providers and event production companies look for equipment that is easier to transport without sacrificing the workflows they already use in fixed installations.

Portable production systems have become a greater focus across the sector as teams adopt decentralised and cloud-based workflows. In those environments, consoles and control surfaces increasingly need to connect quickly with networked audio systems, remote engines, and a mix of in-house and third-party devices.

Tom Knowles, Director of Product Management at Solid State Logic, said: "TCA Tour delivers the full capability of System T in a portable, robust, and scalable package with minimal space requirements.

"Whether operating in live sound, remote production, or temporary environments for cloud or virtualised workflows, TCA Tour provides direct AoIP routing, integrated FX processing, and SSL's renowned sound quality, tailored for the demands of modern production."

The product expands Solid State Logic's offering beyond fixed broadcast and large-scale live production installations by targeting users that need smaller, flight-ready systems. The under-23kg module weight is likely intended to simplify shipping and handling for international touring and remote deployments, where transport limits often influence equipment choices as much as technical specifications.

Solid State Logic is known for analogue and digital audio consoles used in music recording, broadcast, live sound and post-production. With TCA Tour, it is targeting demand for portable networked audio systems that can be installed quickly and integrated into established audio-over-IP environments.

The system will begin shipping in July 2026.
