Public procurement
Consistent Infosystems has listed its graphic cards and pen drives on the Government e-Marketplace, opening the products to procurement by government and institutional buyers across India.
The listing puts both categories on the state-backed digital purchasing platform used by government departments, public sector undertakings, educational institutions and other authorised buyers. It reflects the Indian hardware company's effort to expand its presence in the public procurement channel.
GeM serves as a central marketplace for a wide range of goods and services, with the aim of making public purchasing more transparent and standardised. By adding graphic cards and pen drives to the portal, Consistent is targeting demand linked to digital upgrades and routine technology purchases in offices, campuses and public bodies.
Product expansion
Its graphic card range is aimed at professional workstations, institutional systems and routine operational use. The pen drives are positioned for data transfer and storage needs in government offices and educational settings.
The addition broadens a product portfolio that includes IT hardware, networking and surveillance products, print consumables, electronics and gaming items. Consistent began operations in New Delhi in 2011 and has since expanded across India, according to company figures.
Those figures indicate the business has more than 25 branches, over 93 service centres, more than 400 direct employees and a portfolio of more than 693 products. It also exports to more than 17 countries and works with 3,795 channel partners in India.
Procurement access
For public buyers, availability on GeM can simplify purchasing by allowing access through an established procurement process rather than separate vendor arrangements. For suppliers, the marketplace provides access to ministries, state bodies, universities and public enterprises through a single digital channel.
Consistent described the listing as part of a broader push to widen access to its products in government and institutional markets. It linked the move to demand for computing hardware and portable storage as organisations continue to upgrade digital infrastructure.
India's public sector has been increasing technology spending on devices, networking, storage and surveillance, creating opportunities for domestic hardware suppliers. GeM has become one route for those companies to compete for orders from state-backed institutions while working within standard procurement rules.
Market strategy
The company's recent marketing focus has also extended beyond core PC hardware into surveillance and gaming-related products. That broader mix suggests it is seeking a larger footprint across several electronics categories rather than relying on a narrow set of components.
"At Consistent Infosystems, our vision has always been to make quality technology products more accessible across every segment of India. The availability of our Graphic Cards and Pen Drives on GeM is another milestone towards supporting public sector and institutional technology needs with dependable, affordable, and future-ready technology solutions backed by strong nationwide service support," said Yogesh Agrawal, CMD and Co-Founder of Consistent Infosystems.
