Ai+ Smartphone has started sales of the Nova 2 Pro and Nova 2 Neo in India. Both handsets are part of the company's Nova Series.

The devices are available through Flipkart and selected retail outlets. Pricing for the Nova 2 Neo starts at Rs. 12,999, while the Nova 2 Pro starts at Rs. 14,999 with a bank offer.

The launch adds two 5G models to Ai+ Smartphone's line-up as the brand looks to reach first-time buyers and customers seeking an upgrade. The Nova 2 Neo comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, both with 128GB of storage. The Nova 2 Pro is available with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The Nova 2 Pro is listed at Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB + 128GB version and Rs. 16,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version, with both prices marked as onwards pricing and including a Rs. 1,000 bank offer on debit and credit cards. The Nova 2 Neo is priced at Rs. 12,999 for 4GB + 128GB and Rs. 13,999 for 6GB + 128GB.

Device details

The Nova 2 Neo uses MediaTek's Dimensity 6300 5G processor and has a 6.745-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs Android 16-based NxtQuantum OS and includes the NxtPrivacy Dashboard and AI Key support.

Its camera setup includes a 48MP Sony IMX582 rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The handset also has a 6000mAh battery with 18W charging support, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP65 dust and water resistance, dual-SIM 5G support, and expandable storage of up to 2TB.

The Nova 2 Pro uses MediaTek's Dimensity 7100 chip and has a 6.9-inch FHD+ punch-hole display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits of high-brightness mode. It also includes a multi-layer cooling system and runs the same Android 16-based NxtQuantum OS with the privacy dashboard and AI Key customisation.

For imaging, the Pro model includes a 48MP Sony IMX582 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 13MP front camera. Other features include customisable rear-panel lights for alerts, a 2.5D glass finish, dual stereo speakers, dual microphones, expandable storage of up to 1TB, and a 6000mAh battery with 33W charging.

Software focus

Both devices centre on NxtQuantum OS, which Ai+ Smartphone describes as an India-built mobile operating system. This positioning reflects a wider effort by domestic technology groups to highlight local development and data handling in consumer devices.

Madhav Sheth, Chief Executive Officer of Ai+ Smartphone and Founder of NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, commented on the start of sales.

"The Nova 2 Neo and Nova 2 Pro reflect our effort to make capable, well-designed and dependable smartphone experiences accessible to a wider set of consumers. We have focused on the things that matter most in daily use - performance, battery life, imaging, software quality and privacy - so that users do not have to compromise based on budget. With sales beginning today, we are excited to bring the next chapter of the Nova Series to more users across India," said Sheth.

The Indian smartphone market remains highly competitive in the lower and mid-price segments, where brands often compete on battery size, display refresh rates, and camera specifications. Ai+ Smartphone is seeking to differentiate its devices through software branding tied to privacy features and local technology development.

NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, founded by Sheth, is behind the operating system used in the new handsets. The business describes itself as an Indian deep-tech company developing secure digital platforms, with NxtQuantum OS positioned as its flagship software product.

With the Nova 2 Pro and Nova 2 Neo, that software now extends into mass-market devices, where pricing remains a decisive factor in purchase decisions. The entry price of Rs. 12,999 places the Neo in the crowded affordable 5G category, while the Pro targets buyers willing to spend more for a faster screen, additional camera hardware, and quicker charging.
