Wipro and Google Cloud have expanded their partnership to roll out Gemini Enterprise and agentic AI across enterprise operations. The agreement also covers Wipro's internal use of the technology.

Under the arrangement, Wipro will equip more than 10,000 AI-certified specialists, including 1,500 Forward Deployed Engineers, with Gemini Enterprise tools. It has also introduced a framework called LIFT, short for Launch-Ignite-Flywheel-Transform, which combines Gemini Enterprise with Wipro's WINGS and WEGA delivery platforms.

The move reflects growing demand among large companies to shift generative AI from isolated pilots into day-to-day operations. The expanded partnership is designed to help clients place AI agents inside multi-step business workflows rather than limit the technology to basic task automation.

LIFT sits within Wipro Intelligence, the company's broader suite of AI products and services. By linking Gemini Enterprise to WINGS and WEGA, organisations can build secure, autonomous AI agents for use across core functions, according to Wipro.

Wipro is also using Gemini Enterprise inside its own business. It has made the platform its central agentic orchestration system, drawing on its internal AI programmes, Operate Better with AI and Client Zero.

According to Wipro, the internal deployment has been applied to workflows in compliance, human resources and sales intelligence. Gemini's reasoning and long-context capabilities have helped it build AI agents to handle more complex work and support decision-making across the business.

Internal rollout

As part of the effort, Wipro is building a team of more than 1,500 certified Forward Deployed Engineers. The group will combine Google Cloud expertise with Wipro's consulting and engineering capabilities to help clients move from pilot projects to wider deployment.

It has also added Antigravity Command Line Interface to its software engineering environment. That has enabled agentic workflows to assist developers with planning, coding, testing and application modernisation.

Wipro did not provide precise figures but said the shift had delivered measurable gains in software development productivity and reduced post-production defects. The results point to a practical use case for AI tools at a time when many technology suppliers are under pressure to show operational outcomes rather than broad claims.

For Google Cloud, the expanded arrangement supports its push to place Gemini Enterprise at the centre of large corporate AI deployments through service partners. The cloud provider has relied on systems integrators and consulting groups to help customers integrate generative AI into existing technology estates and business processes.

"AI is foundational to how Wipro is shaping its future, driving innovation, transforming operations, and delivering differentiated value for our clients," said Kanwar Singh, Managing Partner and Global Head of Technology Services, Wipro.

Google Cloud also highlighted customer demand for broader deployment. "Our partnership with Wipro continues to drive real-world value for enterprise customers looking to scale AI across their organizations. The strong demand for Gemini Enterprise indicates the value it is adding for customers today," said Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Partner Ecosystem, Google Cloud.

The demand comes as technology service providers try to turn AI experimentation into repeatable service lines tied to workflow redesign, software delivery and business operations. Rather than offering standalone chatbot deployments, firms are increasingly packaging AI around sector-specific processes, employee tools and internal systems integration.

Wipro, which employs more than 240,000 people across 65 countries, has been increasing its emphasis on AI-led consulting and technology services. The latest step shows how major service companies are training internal workforces at scale while using the same tools as a reference point for customer deployments.

Wipro said Gemini Enterprise is now embedded in both its customer-facing platforms and internal operations, with the aim of extending AI use beyond simple automation into routine enterprise workflows. "By embedding Gemini Enterprise into their own operations and their customer-facing platforms, Wipro is demonstrating how AI transformation drives tangible efficiency. Together, we are helping joint customers bridge the gap between AI potential and business performance using Google Cloud's agentic AI capabilities," said Ichhpurani.
