Snapper expands presence to 20 countries with Mosaiq tech

Snapper Services has expanded its presence to nearly 20 countries, marking a significant milestone in the company's effort to enhance public transport systems globally.

The New Zealand-based technology firm attributes its growth to strategic partnerships within the public transport technology sector. Snapper Services collaborates with companies such as Optibus, Vix Technology, and AWS to integrate its transport intelligence expertise with the various solutions of its partners. This collaborative approach aims to tackle the diverse challenges faced by public transport systems.

Miki Szikszai, Chief Executive Officer of Snapper Services, stated, "Our partnerships are built on a shared vision to create excellent experiences in public transport. By combining our data-driven solutions with the unique capabilities of our partners, we're not only driving meaningful improvements for public transport authorities and operators but also creating better journeys for passengers around the globe."

A key offering from Snapper Services is the Mosaiq Transit Intelligence Suite, launched in early 2023. This platform provides transport authorities and operators with the tools to analyse historical and real-time data to enhance network performance and passenger experiences. The suite's recent updates enable users to assess route efficiency and make informed decisions to improve service delivery.

Jon Salmon, Snapper Services' Chief Revenue Officer, commented on Mosaiq's impact: "Mosaiq has transformed how transport authorities understand their networks. We now process 3 billion data heartbeats each month and gain insights from approximately 25 million trips, and we're pleased to see the platform gaining traction each month.

"This work reflects our commitment to providing genuinely useful insights that can help support bus operators and local authorities to make data-driven decisions. These decisions underpin the delivery of consistent network performance and optimise resources to enhance the overall public transport experience for passengers."

The company has been involved in significant projects, such as supporting the West Yorkshire Combined Authority in its transition to a franchised network. Snapper Services has also introduced the Mosaiq Global Public Transit Index, a worldwide benchmarking tool for transport performance.
