Ping Identity launches three agents on Google Cloud

Ping Identity has launched three identity agents on Google Cloud Marketplace that allow employees and authorised administrators to complete common identity tasks through natural-language conversations in Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise.

The agents connect conversational requests to defined identity actions through Ping APIs. Access to those actions is governed by the permissions and authority assigned to each user.

The launch covers employee device authentication as well as administrative tasks including password resets, session termination, access management and multi-factor authentication enrolment.

Employee access

The PingID Device Management Agent allows signed-in employees to manage their authentication devices through Gemini Enterprise.

Employees can use the agent to pair a replacement phone, view registered devices, rename a device, select a default device or remove an old device.

The agent uses a least-privilege model. It does not hold standing credentials and cannot independently access resources or perform operations without direction from the authenticated user.

Admin controls

Ping is also providing two agents for help desk and identity teams.

The PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud Administrator Agent and PingOne Administrator Agent support user, access and session management within assigned administrative permissions.

Authorised administrators can use natural-language requests for tasks such as resetting passwords, managing MFA enrolment and reviewing user activity.

The agents are designed to operate within existing access controls rather than providing users with unrestricted administrative capabilities.

For changes within an Advanced Identity Cloud implementation, only approved operators can access the environment. The agent also requires explicit confirmation before taking action.

Google Cloud

The three agents are available on Google Cloud Marketplace and are built for Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise using Google's Agent Development Kit.

The availability through Google Cloud Marketplace provides organisations with a way to deploy and manage the agents within their Google Cloud environment.

The three agents are the PingID Device Management Agent, PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud Administrator Agent and PingOne Administrator Agent.
