Nasuni launches IQ toolset for enhanced AI-ready data management
Nasuni, a key player in hybrid cloud storage solutions, announced today the launch of Nasuni IQ, a data intelligence feature set. This novel capability will equip enterprises with the necessary tools to manage, evaluate, and prepare their unstructured data environment for artificial intelligence (AI).
The importance of unstructured data, which houses the bulk of enterprise's intellectual property, is emphasised with estimates suggesting that large enterprises will triple their unstructured data capacity by 2028, according to Gartner. However, much of this data remains forgotten in legacy storage silos, an issue which Nasuni aims to resolve with the introduction of Nasuni IQ.
Nasuni IQ aims to offer crucial oversight for file data, enabling businesses to rapidly monitor usage patterns and make proactive decisions relating to data management. Furthermore, it forms a component of Nasuni's overall 'Fit for AI' framework, which helps customers to align their data strategy with readiness for AI applications.
The newly launched feature offers enhanced visibility and insights into user activities, usage patterns, and file data consumption by providing comprehensive dashboard and monitoring tools. It also allows businesses to predict their storage requirements, detect potential bottlenecks, and put data management policies in place to ensure resources are efficiently allocated. Moreover, Nasuni IQ can function as an additional tool for the curation of unstructured data to support more advanced analytics and AI undertakings, all as part of the overarching Nasuni File Data Platform.
"As more businesses turn to AI and advanced analytics for a competitive edge, understanding and managing the data feeding those tools will be the deciding factor in their success," commented Russ Kennedy, Chief Product Officer at Nasuni. He further added, "Nasuni's Data Platform consolidates silos of data in a cloud object store and then provides enterprises with the visibility and insight to leverage their data for the next generation of intelligence tools."
Nasuni IQ comes with a number of notable capabilities. It equips the user to evaluate organisational data landscape, understand consumption patterns and ensure that the data is AI-ready. It enables tracking of usage and collaboration patterns across various dimensions such as users, departments, file types, volumes, and more. The capability to monitor system component metrics for proactive identification of resource contention and capacity limits along with the ability to perform historical analysis for troubleshooting or security event investigation are some of the other key features of Nasuni IQ.
"The Nasuni File Data Platform allows organisations to consolidate previously disparate data silos into a single namespace which radically simplifies management, and Nasuni IQ will further optimise that storage resource for secure, effective data preparation for AI-driven insights," noted Scott Sinclair, Practice Director of Cloud, Infrastructure, and DevOps at ESG.
Rounding out the glowing validation of this new feature, Rob Ruggiero, Global Infrastructure Architect at SGSCO said, "Nasuni IQ has become a valuable tool for our file data oversight. With its intuitive features, we effortlessly track the most active users, monitor dynamic directories, and gain valuable insights into file interactions."
This launch comes after a robust performance by Nasuni in the previous year, recording a 46% growth in new customer bookings and an impressive 118% net revenue retention. With the introduction of Nasuni IQ, the company is set to continue this upward trajectory in the future.
