Hexaware partners with upGrad to train employees in Gen AI
Hexaware Technologies, an IT services and solutions provider, has announced a partnership with upGrad Enterprise, the corporate skilling and workforce development division of upGrad, to offer advanced training in generative AI (Gen AI) to over 100 employees. This initiative is part of Hexaware's commitment to becoming an AI-first company and follows the establishment of a Gen AI practice and consulting unit last year.
The training scheme will focus on equipping employees to become Gen AI architects capable of developing solutions, addressing business challenges, and steering clients towards their goals using advanced AI concepts and tools. The course will be delivered through a combination of instructor-led training and eLearning modules, requiring a commitment of 7-8 hours per week over a six-month period.
Participants will be selected based on assessments conducted by a panel, focusing on employees with a strong technical or programming background. Candidates who have excelled in the last two years and completed Gen AI Foundation and Advanced courses will be prioritised. Proficiency in deep learning and natural language processing (NLP) is also preferred.
Satyendu Mohanty, Executive Vice President & Global Head of Talent Supply Chain and Learning & Development at Hexaware, commented on the collaboration, stating, "This collaboration with upGrad aligns with Hexaware's mission to rapidly build the Gen AI capabilities of its workforce. By investing in our employees' skills and capabilities, we aim to stay ahead in the evolving technology landscape and deliver value to our clients.
