Hackuity partners with Wiz to enhance cloud security

Yesterday

Hackuity, a provider of risk-based vulnerability management, has announced a partnership with cloud security provider Wiz, joining the Wiz Integration Network (WIN).

The collaboration is set to enhance vulnerability management by allowing for seamless integration of Wiz into existing workflows. Hackuity's platform is known for its ability to combine threat intelligence, vulnerability severity, and unique business context, resulting in a quantified 'True Risk Score' (TRS) that provides a detailed insight into potential risks.

The WIN facilitates the sharing of prioritised security findings, aiding partners in controlling risks more effectively. This includes sharing detailed context such as inventory, vulnerabilities, and configuration issues. The aim is to help organisations address the most critical threats they face.

Among the benefits of the collaboration for mutual customers are prioritised threats, which assist IT teams in addressing threat remediation that aligns with their specific attack surfaces. This allocation of resources, aided by contextual information from the integrated platforms, helps reduce the number of critical vulnerabilities requiring urgent attention. Additionally, Wiz's capability of identifying 'toxic combinations' of risks aids teams in determining which risks to prioritise.

Furthermore, the automation of vulnerability-related tasks helps streamline team operations. This leads to improved security by reducing risk and enabling IT teams to mitigate vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by attackers.

Patrick Ragaru, CEO of Hackuity, stated: "We're honoured to be part of the WIZ integration platform to ensure customers can risk-assess vulnerabilities with the most accurate and context-rich information. The number of threats is growing, but the reality is that only a small number of these will contribute a high risk to an organisation. With this integration, customers have full visibility to predict and protect themselves from the cyber vulnerabilities that matter to them."

Oron Noah, Vice President of Product Extensibility & Partnerships at Wiz, also commented: "Our partnership with Hackuity makes cloud security more accessible and scalable for our customers. By combining the value of our CNAPP with Hackuity's vulnerability management capabilities, we're helping security teams better prioritise and remediate threats. I'm so glad to have them on board, helping to empower organisations with a cohesive, integrated approach to cloud security."

WIN is aimed at fostering a collaborative cloud security operating model where security and cloud teams can work together to manage risks across their continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline. Wiz aims to set a strong industry standard through strategic partnerships like this one with Hackuity to maximise the operational effectiveness of organisations.
