Device Authority enhances IoT security tools for MSSPs
Device Authority is reinforcing its commitment to Managed Service Security Providers (MSSPs) in its North American expansion strategy with new tools, investments, and team enhancements.
The company, known for its identity and access management for IoT, has introduced tools like the Discovery Tool and KeyScaler-as-a-Service (KSaaS) to tackle the challenges faced by MSSPs in managing security within complex environments filled with unmanaged, connected devices. These tools aim to provide MSSPs with the ability to offer automated device onboarding, authentication, and lifecycle management, thereby enhancing cyber resilience for enterprise clients.
The newly unveiled Discovery Tool offers a free-to-use solution capable of discovering and providing visibility of all devices on a company's network. It delivers an instant vulnerability score paired with actionable insights to mitigate potential security issues. The key feature of providing device visibility addresses a critical gap many Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) currently face.
Darron Antill, Chief Executive Officer of Device Authority, emphasized the significance of the MSSP market in securing IoT and OT environments. He stated, "The MSSP market plays a critical role in securing IoT and OT environments. By partnering with MSSPs & MSPs, we can help them to enable their customers to adopt new IoT technologies or optimise the use of legacy devices without compromising security and provide complete visibility and control of those devices at scale. Our solutions are designed to help MSPs increase their value and address easily the unique challenges posed by IoT devices to their customers, through automation and scalability."
To further strengthen its focus on MSSPs, Device Authority has appointed Molly Marks as Senior Director, North America MSP Sales. With over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity and partner and channel management, Marks is expected to play a pivotal role in expanding relationships with MSSPs and supporting their IoT security deployments.
Molly Marks commented on her new role, saying, "The opportunity for Device Authority to support MSSPs in the security of their customers' connected operations is significant. Not only are device identities outnumbering human identities on company networks but the number of unmanaged devices is growing at pace. I am excited to be able to work with MSSPs on a complete end-to-end solution that will not only enable the discovery of customers connected assets and vulnerabilities, but also provide complete visibility in a single pane, automated control of these devices at scale and a vastly improved security posture – all via scalable SaaS delivery. This is sure to help MSPs to simplify compliance, reduce operational complexity, build their ARR & MRR contracts, and protect their clients' connected environments."
The strategic investment in the team and tool development aligns with Device Authority's commitment to deliver effective solutions and expertise to Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and enterprise clients. This commitment is further supported by a series of key customer wins across North America and Europe in 2024.
