Crestron has launched Collab Compute in India, introducing the product during InfoComm India in Mumbai.

Collab Compute is positioned as the hardware foundation for hybrid meetings in professional AV environments. Built on Intel Core Ultra processors with integrated neural processing units, it is designed for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms deployments.

The system supports multiple displays, peripherals, professional audio, multi-camera setups and room automation. It is aimed at organisations building meeting spaces that combine computing, AV connectivity and collaboration tools in a single setup.

Alongside the launch, Crestron showcased a broader range of workplace and AV products at its stand, including Videobar 70, AirMedia, 1 Beyond i12D, DM-NAX and Automate VX.

The portfolio on display spanned collaboration, video, audio, room control and workplace technology. The showcase reflects business demand for integrated systems across meeting rooms and shared workspaces as companies continue to adapt office layouts and hybrid working practices.

Gagan Verma, Vice President - India & SAARC, Crestron, said the launch reflects changes in how workplaces are designed and used.

"The workplace is evolving from individual meeting rooms into connected environments where collaboration, communication and intelligent technology need to work seamlessly together. With Collab Compute and our broader portfolio, we are bringing organisations a foundation designed not only for the way people collaborate today, but also for how these spaces will evolve," Verma said.

He added that the company's presence in India is part of its broader engagement with customers and channel partners in the professional AV market.

"InfoComm India provides an important platform for us to engage with customers, partners and the wider Pro AV ecosystem and demonstrate how an integrated approach can simplify technology while delivering better experiences," Verma said.

India market

India has become a focus market for workplace technology suppliers as businesses invest in video collaboration, room systems and office management tools. Vendors are increasingly pitching products that combine hardware, software and controls in a single environment rather than separate room-by-room installations.

Crestron's latest launch fits that trend. By centring the India introduction on a computing platform that can sit behind meeting room deployments, the company is targeting corporate customers seeking standardised systems across offices and conference spaces.

Jacques Bertrand, Executive Vice President, Asia, Crestron, said India is becoming increasingly important in the regional market.

"India is playing an increasingly important role in Asia's evolving workplace technology landscape. Organisations are looking for solutions that are flexible, intelligent and scalable, and our presence at InfoComm India reflects Crestron's commitment to supporting this transformation. The event provides us an opportunity to engage with customers and partners and showcase how integrated technology can create more seamless workplace experiences," Bertrand said.

Broader portfolio

Crestron is best known for control systems used in corporate offices, education and other commercial settings. Its broader product range spans room scheduling, wireless presentation, conferencing, cameras, audio distribution and automation, giving it a presence across several parts of the workplace technology stack.

Its global business supports customers through more than 90 offices and maintains sales and support operations across North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Australia.

In India, the launch of Collab Compute adds to a portfolio aimed at organisations equipping rooms for structured hybrid meetings rather than ad hoc video calls. Support for multi-camera systems, professional audio and room automation points to a focus on larger or more specialised meeting environments as well as standard conference rooms.

The introduction also comes as AV suppliers align their offerings more closely with artificial intelligence-related workloads, particularly in video collaboration. Collab Compute's use of processors with integrated NPUs places it in that part of the market, where hardware vendors are seeking to show that room systems can support newer software features tied to voice, video and device management.

At the same time, buyers remain focused on practical concerns such as deployment, compatibility and support across mixed room estates. Crestron's approach is to offer an integrated technology environment that simplifies setup across connected spaces.
