Adidas debuts physical shoes from STEPN GO NFT tie-up

Adidas has introduced its first physical shoe collection derived from its NFT partnership with STEPN GO, marking a new phase in the collaboration between the two brands.

The new collection includes 1,200 pairs of limited-edition STEPN GO x adidas Ultraboost 5 running shoes, featuring the STEPN GO logo. This follows the successful release of the digital STEPN GO x adidas Genesis NFT Sneakers earlier in the year, signalling a move from digital to physical products in their joint venture.

Shiti Manghani, Chief Executive Officer of STEPN by FSL, commented, "]The launch of physical shoes is a defining moment in our partnership with adidas. We've moved from digital collectibles to tangible products that people can wear, showing just how far the Web3 space has evolved. This collaboration demonstrates the potential of merging fitness, digital assets, and real-world products."

The shoes will be available starting December 13 exclusively through the MOOAR marketplace, geared towards STEPN and STEPN GO x adidas Genesis NFT holders. This strategic decision aligns with adidas' ongoing focus on blending physical activity with innovative, digital-based solutions.

The brand collaboration began with the launch of the STEPN Genesis NFT collection in April 2024. Since then, the partnership has grown, spearheading what the companies term a boundary-pushing blend of fashion in the digital and physical realms.

Adidas and STEPN GO have arranged four raffles for the disposal of the Ultraboost 5 shoes, running from December 13 to December 17. Advantages will be given to existing NFT holders, while other opportunities to participate will be available through a contest on the social platform X and dedicated raffles for ALTS by adidas and the STEPN Apps community.

Winners of the raffles will claim their shoes between January 6 to January 22, following a trading period that will allow for ticket purchases on the secondary market. This purchase comes as part of four unique shoe styles, with each featuring a randomly assigned colour, adding an element of chance for the participants.

The partnership between STEPN GO and adidas underscores the integration of an active lifestyle into everyday life through this innovative approach to fashion and fitness technology. It highlights the evolving influence of Web3 initiatives beyond traditional fitness apps, positioning STEPN GO at the forefront of this new sphere.
