Zyxel expands network engineer training with new courses
Zyxel Networks has announced the expansion of its Zyxel Certified Network Engineer (ZCNE) training program, introducing four new courses aimed at bridging the networking skills gap for channel partners and power users. The new courses are designed for professionals in the HoReCa (hotels, restaurants, cafes) and education sectors and those providing managed services and seeking advanced network knowledge.
The training programme addresses a prevalent challenge faced by small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs): the need for continuous staff training and skill development. In light of increasing demand from channel partners, the ZCNE Vertical Solution courses will equip network engineers with the necessary tools to tackle complex network challenges. By addressing the specific needs of industry professionals, the courses aim to close the skills gap in networking management.
According to the press release, the ZCNE Vertical Solution courses have been developed for network engineers who seek advanced skills tailored to specific industries. Each course—HoReCa, Edu, MSP, and Elite—takes approximately two hours and consists of five to six modules. Based on Zyxel's Nebula cloud networking solution, the courses cover topics such as setting up an IPTV network, accessing wireless health, using a VPN orchestrator, implementing site-to-site VPN with Microsoft Azure, and stacking. These advanced courses are recommended for those who have already completed ZCNE Level 1 and 2 courses. Each course is available in English and can be completed entirely online.
The ZCNE training programme, which has offered more than 120 online and offline courses since its inception in 2022, has helped thousands of partners and users enhance their networking technology skills.
Mr. Glavine Liu, Senior Director of Customer Service and Quality Management Division at Zyxel Networks, stated, "Expanding our ZCNE training programme with these new vertical solution courses underscores our commitment to supporting partners and users in their professional growth. These courses are designed to provide specialised training for partners to address unique networking challenges and increase their professional standing among end customers."
Upon completing a course and passing the associated test, participants will receive certificates valid for two years. These certificates can be added to CVs and LinkedIn profiles, included on company pages, or displayed in offices, thereby improving career prospects and presenting potential new business opportunities.
Each course is priced at 199. To celebrate the launch, Zyxel Networks will run a campaign offering select modules free of charge for early registrants. Participants who complete their course and share their experience on the Zyxel Community portal will also have the chance to win full courses.
The MSP course is slated for availability from August 7, 2024, and the Elite course will be available from September 2024. Further details about the ZCNE training programme can be found on Zyxel's education platform.
