Yospace joins Akamai programme to boost media ad revenue
Yospace has been accepted into the Akamai Qualified Compute Partner Program as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV).
This partnership will see Yospace offering its server-side ad insertion (SSAI) technology via Akamai's extensive edge and cloud platform, enabling media companies to improve their advertising strategies and revenue.
Tim Sewell, CEO of Yospace, stated, "Akamai is the leading CDN for media delivery, bar none, and we are excited to extend our cloud compute strategy to become part of the Akamai Qualified Compute Partner Program. The future of premium video is online and we are going to see a massive scale-up of streaming audiences, coupled with an increased need to apply addressable advertising at scale. Our partnership with Akamai will help media companies achieve that scale and successfully grow their advertising revenues."
The integration allows media entities globally to leverage Yospace's decade-rich experience and technology to streamline video streaming scenarios and increase ad revenue. Dan Lawrence, Vice President of Cloud Computing at Akamai, added, "Akamai is pleased to make Yospaces SSAI easily available to Akamai customers through the Akamai Qualified Compute Partner Program. Media companies across the globe are now able to apply advanced advertising strategies at scale across Akamai Connected Cloud, the world's most distributed platform for cloud computing, security, and content delivery."
The program is designed to offer interoperability with Akamai's cloud computing services, ensuring customers can readily deploy and scale these technologies. The qualifications process for partners ensures the services are robust and provide performance and cost benefits by operating on a single global platform. These services are available individually or as part of a larger ecosystem, thereby catering to a range of performance and economic requirements for media companies.
This development comes as Akamai continues to enhance its cloud computing services, which include media delivery, computing, and security solutions. By joining the Akamai Qualified Compute Partner Program, Yospace is positioned to support media companies in achieving their advertising goals, meeting the increasing demand for streaming services and integrating advanced advertising techniques.
Both companies plan to exhibit at IBC 2024 in Amsterdam from 13th to 16th September. Yospace will demonstrate its server-side ad insertion technology at stand 5.C77, while Akamai will showcase its array of cloud-based services in the Akamai Lounge located in the Elicium (Hall 13). This will allow industry stakeholders to explore the new partnership and its potential benefits first-hand.
