Trellix appoints Ganesh Iyer as MD for India & SAARC region
Trellix has appointed Ganesh Iyer as the new Managing Director for India and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region. This announcement was made public today in Bengaluru, India.
Neville Vincent, Trellix's Senior Vice President for the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, commented on the appointment. "Ganesh has a proven experience growing businesses across South Asia," said Vincent. "His record for measured risk taking, strengthening customer relationships, and building resilient, long-lasting teams is strong and will benefit all of our stakeholders in the region."
Ganesh Iyer brings over 20 years of experience in leading sales roles to his new position. He specializes in scaling sales results and transforming sales operations with a particular focus on growth. As a core member of Trellix's APJ sales leadership, Iyer will be responsible for leading strategy and expansion planning across the entire India and SAARC region.
Discussing his new role, Iyer remarked, "Security teams are hungry for a security partner to manage their organisational security posture across cloud, networks, and endpoints in a single platform. With the market for cybersecurity accelerating quickly in India and the threat landscape requiring more visibility to contextualise and remediate threats, Trellix is well-positioned to deliver on those needs. It's an exciting time to join Trellix and guide efforts in the region."
Iyer transitions to Trellix from Nutanix, where he spent over six years expanding its footprint in the India region and growing its government business. His previous experience also includes various sales leadership roles at well-known technology companies such as Microsoft, VMware, NICE Systems, Wipro, Bharti Airtel, and ComsatMax.
This strategic hire is expected to enhance Trellix's operational strength and customer engagement within the growing cybersecurity market in India and the SAARC region.
