Rimini Street names Costello chief operating officer

Rimini Street has appointed Keith Costello as Chief Operating Officer and Alexander Guasch as Chief Delivery Officer, expanding its senior leadership team.

Costello joins with a background in enterprise software and services. He previously served as President, Enterprise Applications and Technology at DXC Technology and Global Managing Partner for IBM's SAP business unit. He also spent eight years at SAP in senior roles, including Executive Vice President and General Manager of Business Analytics and Technology, Senior Vice President of Global Field Services, and Chief Customer Officer.

As Chief Operating Officer, Costello will oversee product strategy, including decisions on which products, services, and solutions Rimini Street brings to market. He will also take responsibility for professional services sales and other global business operations, duties previously handled by President and Chief Executive Officer Seth Ravin.

Guasch brings more than 30 years of experience in global IT service delivery. His previous senior roles include positions at HPE, IBM, VMware, and Cognizant, as well as leadership posts at Effectual and Optiv.

As Chief Delivery Officer, he will lead the end-to-end development and delivery of all Rimini Street products, services, and solutions worldwide, covering delivery across the company's service lines.

Delivery focus

The appointment gives Rimini Street a dedicated executive focused on delivery as it manages service quality and operations across international markets. Guasch will oversee the reliability and consistency of delivery for clients worldwide.

The appointments are intended to support growth and sharpen execution as the business expands globally. Rimini Street provides third-party support for Oracle, SAP, and VMware software and has been building out its broader software support and services business.

Leadership shift

The changes also reshape responsibilities at the top of the company. By moving product strategy, services sales, and parts of global operations to Costello, Rimini Street is giving the Chief Operating Officer a broader remit while freeing Ravin to focus on the wider business.

Ravin described both executives as experienced operators with backgrounds in running large technology organisations. Their appointments add leadership from companies with deep roots in enterprise applications, infrastructure, and outsourced services.
