Rapoo has launched the P201 65W laptop power bank in India at an introductory price of INR 4,499.
The launch adds a higher-wattage charging option to the accessories maker's line-up as demand grows for portable charging solutions for laptops, phones and tablets.
The P201 has a 20,000mAh battery and supports 65W Power Delivery. It is designed to charge laptops, including Apple MacBook Air models and Windows laptops, as well as smartphones and tablets.
The device includes a built-in USB-C cable, along with separate USB-C and USB-A ports, allowing users to charge up to three devices at the same time.
A digital display shows battery status and power output. The power bank itself can be recharged with a 45W Power Delivery charger.
The product supports PD 3.0, PPS and QC 3.0 charging standards, helping broaden compatibility across brands and device categories.
Safety Features
The P201 includes a power management chipset designed to protect against overvoltage, overcurrent, overheating, and short circuits. It is also BIS certified, meeting Indian safety requirements.
The device is being marketed with a Made in India label, as more consumer technology brands highlight local manufacturing or assembly in line with India's push to expand domestic electronics production.
Retail Push
The P201 is available through retail stores in India and on the Variety Infotech online portal. Rapoo has listed the maximum retail price at INR 7,999, with the launch price set significantly lower.
Founded in 2002, Rapoo sells wireless peripherals and accessories, including keyboards, mice, audio products and gaming gear. It says it operates in more than 80 countries.
The launch places Rapoo in a competitive part of the accessories market, where brands are seeking to stand out through charging speed, portability and support for multiple device types. Laptop-ready power banks remain a smaller but growing category compared with standard phone chargers, reflecting demand from users who work across multiple devices away from desks and fixed power sources.
In India, demand has been driven by hybrid working, wider use of tablets and lightweight laptops, and greater reliance on USB-C charging across consumer electronics. Products in this segment also compete on battery capacity, wattage, number of output ports and compliance with airline battery limits, an important consideration for frequent travellers.
Rapoo says the P201 has an airline-approved battery, a specification commonly used to reassure users that a 20,000mAh unit can be carried during air travel under limits applied by many airlines. Combined with the integrated cable, this suggests the device is aimed at professionals and other users who want to carry fewer chargers and cables.
The power bank comes in a dark grey finish and a compact form factor intended for portability. Rapoo says it was built for "modern, on-the-go lifestyles".
