Qualys VMDR recognised as leader in 2024 GigaOm report

Qualys announced that its Vulnerability Management, Detection and Response (VMDR) has been recognised as both an "Outperformer" and "Leader" in the 2024 GigaOm Radar Report for Continuous Vulnerability Management (CVM).

Over 20 vendors were evaluated in the report, which assessed their "Maturity versus Innovation" and "Feature Play vs Platform Play". Qualys' VMDR was the sole provider to be categorised as both a "Leader" and "Outperformer" out of the reviewed vendors. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Qualys has been named a Leader in this category.

Chris Ray, Research Analyst at GigaOm, explained, "Its risk-based assessment scores 5/5, thanks to VMDR's sophisticated approach, which incorporates asset criticality, risk factors, vulnerability assessment data and threat intelligence from 25 different feeds. Qualys is valuable for industries with stringent regulatory compliance needs, such as finance, healthcare, and government sectors."

The report highlights the strengths of Qualys VMDR, including its risk-based assessment that utilises threats from 25 feeds, cloud-native and serverless function scanning, and flexibility through multiple deployment options. This adaptability allows the platform to serve various organisational needs across different environments.
