Kinly launches sustainability-focused CSR strategy
Global provider of audio-visual integration and collaboration services, Kinly, has launched a new corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy in response to research suggesting that over half (53%) of enterprises are experiencing difficulties finding AV suppliers supportive of their environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals.
Kinly's Trusted Connections 2024 research report, featuring insights from 425 enterprise AV professionals in the UK, Germany, the Nordic countries, and the Netherlands, reveals that while many enterprises are having trouble finding suitable suppliers, around 70% consider AV investments to be crucial to their ESG strategy for 2024.
Rhea Horlock, Global Corporate Social Responsibility Lead for Kinly, has spearheaded the development of the company's new CSR strategy. It aims to align business practices with sustainability, ethics and community engagement, facilitating corporations to meet their ESG targets. Nearly half (47%) of businesses prioritise improvement of their sustainability and ESG targets for 2024, and will benefit greatly from partnering with suppliers that prioritise sustainability in their operations.
Kinly's CSR strategy includes a commitment to "sustainability by design", demonstrating a dedication to potential clients through the selection of vendors which align with their sustainability objectives. This can cover a range of considerations from material use to e-waste. The entirety of each solution's lifecycle, from configuration and installation to usage and eventual disposal, is considered with the aim of minimising environmental impact.
Data on the environmental and social impact of design decisions are provided by Kinly for the benefit of their clientele. Of the many enterprises undertaking a transformation project for workplace communications, Kinly's research indicates that around a third (36%) have seen an improvement in sustainability within a year.
Kinly's CSR strategy also includes in-house measures to address its own carbon footprint and to further emphasise the company's commitment to sustainability. An important goal for Kinly is to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 through the strategic evaluation and reduction of emissions from its offices, vehicles and business travel, as well as insisting on similar commitments from its supply chain.
Kinly's global corporate social responsibility Lead, Rhea Horlock, emphasises the bespoke nature of the company's approach to CSR and sustainability. "We know there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to CSR and sustainability", she said, adding, "By integrating sustainability into the very fabric of our operations, we aim to minimise our environmental impact while maximising social benefits."
Regarding the broader goals of the company's CSR ambitions, Kinly CEO Tom Martin said, "At Kinly, we are fully committed to advancing sustainable and socially responsible business practices that foster employee satisfaction and ensure the long-term success of our business and those we partner with."
