Consistent Infosystems has launched a 36W Solar Power Hub for CCTV and IoT applications, aimed at outdoor and remote installations where access to conventional power is limited.

The device combines solar charging and battery storage in a single unit. It includes a 13,500mAh lithium-ion battery and delivers a maximum output of 36W for supported low-power equipment.

The hub is designed for CCTV systems, remote monitoring points, perimeter installations, and other outdoor deployments. Consistent positions it as an option for sites where laying or accessing a standard electrical connection may be difficult.

The unit includes a Smart Battery Management System for battery control and over-temperature protection. It also carries an IP65 rating, indicating protection suited to outdoor use.

Outdoor demand

The launch comes as surveillance and connected devices are being installed in a wider range of distributed locations across India. In these settings, power access remains a practical constraint for operators deploying cameras, sensors, and other connected equipment.

Solar-backed systems are increasingly used in such conditions because they can support equipment away from fixed infrastructure. In selected use cases, the combination of on-site generation and stored energy can reduce the need for immediate grid access.

This places products such as solar power hubs in a growing segment of the surveillance and IoT market, particularly in rural sites, temporary monitoring points, and perimeter security installations. No expected sales volumes were disclosed for the device.

Price and reach

The 36W Solar Power Hub has a maximum retail price of INR 9,999. It will be sold through Consistent's channel partner network across India and through its online store.

The company sells IT hardware, networking products, surveillance equipment, print consumables, electronics, and gaming products. Its operations include more than 25 branches, more than 93 service centres, more than 400 direct employees, and exports to more than 17 countries.

Consistent also works with 3,795 channel partners across India and offers a portfolio of more than 693 products. The business, which began in New Delhi in 2011, has expanded across several parts of the country as it seeks a larger share of India's hardware and surveillance markets.

A company comment accompanied the launch.

"As surveillance and IoT applications continue to expand across diverse environments, reliable power support has become an important part of the overall infrastructure. With our 36W Solar Power Hub, we aim to provide a practical solution that combines solar power generation, battery backup, and intelligent power management. This launch reflects our focus on developing reliable solutions that address the evolving requirements of India's surveillance and IoT ecosystem," said Yogesh Agrawal, CMD and Co-Founder, Consistent Infosystems.

The company said the hub is intended to support deployments where continuous power availability is required. Its battery storage allows connected equipment to continue operating when solar generation is unavailable.

The system can therefore be used in locations where extending electrical infrastructure would require additional installation work. Consistent said the product is part of its broader portfolio for surveillance and connected-device applications.

The company did not provide details on planned production volumes or future variants of the solar power hub.
