Commvault has expanded its Asia Pacific (APAC) leadership team with two strategic senior appointments. Michel Borst and Joanne Dean join the APAC ranks, bringing with them a wealth of experience and technical expertise. They both come equipped with an understanding of the pivotal role that Commvault Cloud plays in encouraging cyber resilience.

Michel Borst, a seasoned professional in digital transformation and innovation, steps into the role of Area Vice President for Asia. Based out of Singapore, Borst will spearhead operations in this region. His role will involve working closely with customers and partners in need of cyber resilience solutions that can secure, protect and quickly recover data if a cyber event occurs. With more than thirty years of experience in software, consultancy, and delivery across an array of technologies in APAC, Borst is well-positioned to excel.

Reflecting on his appointment, Borst commented, "The Asia region is critical to our growth, and I'm thrilled to step into this position at such a transformative time for the company. As organisations today are faced with non-stop cyber threats, the need for cyber resilience has never been greater. I'm looking forward to leading and contributing to the Commvault team's excellent work in advancing the resilience of organisations in Asia."

Joanne Dean, a vociferous channel advocate with two decades of experience in partner ecosystems, assumes the role of Area Vice President for Channels and Alliances in APAC. Based in Perth, Australia, her role involves directing the region's channel strategy. She will work in conjunction with Commvault's partner ecosystem to mutually deliver cyber resilience in a rapidly evolving, hybridised world.

Dean expressed optimism for her new role, stating, "Enterprises across APAC are at an important juncture in their digital journey as the opportunities to do more with data have never been greater, but the need to protect, secure, and recover data has never been more important. I'm excited to lead Commvault's channels and alliances efforts and work hand-in-hand with our partners to help joint customers achieve their business goals and advance resilience."

Martin Creighan, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Commvault, shared his enthusiasm for the new appointments, "Recognising the tremendous potential and momentum within the APAC region, it was crucial to onboard leaders like Michel and Jo with proven industry experience and strong sales and partner expertise."

Both Dean and Borst's roles will involve delivering advanced capabilities via the Commvault Cloud platform to assist customers and partners in maintaining their resilience. Commvault Cloud, offering robust data protection, intelligence, and rapid recovery, enables enterprises to secure and retrieve their data, irrespective of the workload, any infrastructure, from any location to any other location.
