Addverb boosts automation with Siemens Xcelerator digital tools
Addverb Technologies is utilising Siemens Xcelerator portfolio software to enhance its approach to factory automation and warehouse management.
Based in India, Addverb specialises in robotics and warehouse automation solutions. The company has turned to digital solutions from Siemens Digital Industries Software to speed up the delivery of its automation services, improve product quality, and expand its capabilities globally.
Key to Addverb's new approach is the adoption of Siemens' Teamcenter software for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). This platform is designed to standardise product development processes, maintain data consistency, and encourage collaboration between engineering and manufacturing teams.
Simulation and optimisation
Alongside Teamcenter, Addverb has integrated Tecnomatix Plant Simulation from Siemens, which allows the company to virtually design, test, and optimise entire production systems and logistics flows before any physical infrastructure is constructed. This virtual modelling not only assists in streamlining operations for Addverb but also supports its clients' digital transformation goals.
Addverb has used these tools to develop digital twins, which are virtual replicas of virtually all its applications and systems, incorporating also third-party components. These digital twins provide a platform for Addverb to build, visualise, validate, and refine comprehensive warehouse systems in a virtual setting.
To further supplement its digital strategy, Addverb is implementing custom applications via the Mendix low-code platform from Siemens. This supports both its internal operational needs and the requirements of external customers.
Operational impact
Sangeet Kumar, Chief Executive Officer at Addverb Technologies, commented on the benefits of the transition:
"Since implementing Siemens' software, we've experienced a transformational shift in how we manage our after sales operations. Siemens Xcelerator has enabled us to build a centralised, user-friendly solution that streamlines facilities and equipment management while also introducing structured workflows for issue tracking and resolution."
"Proactive maintenance has now become a reality, and we can identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate, significantly reducing equipment failures and downtime, improved service reliability and optimised operational costs for our customers. We've turned operational pain points into process strengths, helping us deliver smarter, faster, and more reliable services."
The integration of Siemens' solutions has allowed Addverb to focus on pre-emptive maintenance, which the company credits with reducing equipment failures and improving operational performance. Enhanced service reliability and cost optimisation are central outcomes cited by Addverb since adopting the digital tools.
Industry collaboration
Mathew Thomas, Vice President and Managing Director for India at Siemens Digital Industries Software, provided his perspective on the collaboration:
"Our work with Addverb showcases the power and scalability of Siemens Xcelerator in real-world, high-growth manufacturing and warehousing environments. With the combination of Teamcenter and Mendix, Addverb is driving faster innovation cycles and seamless collaboration. It is critical in helping Addverb to build digitally enabled smart factories that ultimately benefit its customers across industries who seek more agile, intelligent and future-ready automation."
Teamcenter and Mendix are seen by Siemens as tools that can facilitate more agile and efficient workflows, contributing to smarter factory environments that adapt to changing industry needs.
Addverb's adoption of Siemens' Xcelerator portfolio reflects a broader trend in the industrial sector, where companies aim to deploy digital tools to modernise processes, minimise manual intervention, and support growth in diverse and competitive markets.
With this partnership, Addverb plans to strengthen its position in the market by offering more robust digital solutions in automation and warehouse management, underpinned by virtual simulation and low-code development to serve a growing global customer base.
