SNP has appointed Neeraj Athalye as Managing Director for India, expanding its leadership presence in a market it sees as central to its Asia Pacific business.
Based in Mumbai, Athalye will lead SNP's expansion in India and work with customers on SAP transformation projects and data preparation for AI-related use. The appointment is part of a broader Asia Pacific push and aligns with the company's partner-led, software-focused strategy.
He brings more than 30 years of experience in enterprise software, SAP, cloud technology and business leadership. His previous roles include senior positions at SAP, MatrixOne, Honda, John Deere, SUSE and Icertis.
India has become an increasingly active market for SAP transformation as companies respond to cloud adoption, broader digital modernisation programmes and rising AI investment. That demand has made the country a priority for suppliers offering migration, data management and systems restructuring tools for large enterprise software estates.
SNP focuses on software for automated data migration and data management in SAP environments. In India, Athalye is expected to support customers using the company's Kyano platform and Bluefield approach, which are designed to help organisations change SAP systems while limiting operational disruption.
India focus
SNP plans to deepen its network of consulting, hyperscaler and technology partners in India. The strategy reflects a wider trend among enterprise software providers, which increasingly rely on local partners for delivery, industry knowledge and customer access in large regional markets.
The company has also been adding new functions to Kyano as it seeks to expand the platform's role in transformation projects. The software combines tools for data management, migration and ongoing assessment of SAP landscapes, and supports migrations from different ERP source systems.
Among the additions introduced this year is Kyano Lorna, which the company describes as an agentic AI layer that uses SNP's transformation data and project knowledge to generate real-time insights and recommendations. Another, Kyano Oros, is designed to work with unstructured data, which the company says makes up about 80% of enterprise data volumes and has often remained beyond the reach of older transformation tools.
These additions reflect a broader shift in the enterprise software market, where suppliers are trying to tie modernisation work more closely to data readiness for AI. For customers running large SAP estates, transformation projects are increasingly framed not only around migration and cost, but also around data quality, access and structure.
Athalye's appointment comes as SNP seeks a larger role in that market. The group says it serves more than 3,000 customers in over 80 countries and employs more than 1,700 people across 34 locations in 22 countries. It reported revenue of about EUR 297 million in the 2025 financial year.
Phillip Miltiades, President & Managing Director, Asia Pacific & Japan, SNP Group, outlined the company's view of the Indian market in a statement accompanying the appointment.
"We see significant growth potential in India and across the Asia Pacific region. India represents one of the most exciting opportunities for SNP, with growing demand for solutions that simplify complex SAP transformation programs while minimizing business disruption. Neeraj's experience will help us further expand our market presence and strengthen our partner-first strategy to deliver scalable, software-led transformation outcomes," Miltiades said.
