RingCentral secures PAN-India licence for UCaaS & CCaaS
RingCentral has secured a PAN-India licence for its Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) and Contact Centre as a Service (CCaaS) offerings, which will operate across all 22 telecommunications circles in India.
The acquisition of this licence is expected to bolster opportunities for Australian companies operating in India. Adam Boreham, Country Manager - Australia at RingCentral, highlighted the significance of this development, stating, "India is the sixth largest trading partner of Australia, with bilateral trade set to double over the next five years."
"There are thousands of Australian companies either investing, operating or outsourcing in India who will reap immediate benefits by bringing their Indian locations onto a common UCaaS and CCaaS RingCentral platform. It will accelerate workforce collaboration and customer service across multiple countries, and ensure that all staff members have access to the same set of communications capabilities wherever they are – in Australia, India or other parts of the world."
RingCentral is now the first cloud provider to offer fully compliant UCaaS and CCaaS solutions in the Indian market. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) have certified their Global RingEX Select and RingCX solutions, ensuring compliance nationwide.
Sathesh Murthy, Senior Vice President of Engineering and General Manager of India at RingCentral, commented on this milestone, "Securing the PAN-India licence marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for RingCentral in India as we continue to push the boundaries of global collaboration and customer experience. Our comprehensive cloud solutions, Global RingEX Select and RingCX, enable seamless communication for organisations with offices in India, as well as those looking to enhance their customer engagement capabilities."
"Our unmatched reliability, secure platform, and trusted solutions are a game-changer for multinational organisations looking to optimise their business communications and customer interactions."
The availability of these services extends across India's major metropolitan areas, offering robust connectivity and helping businesses to focus on their core operations. Philippe Bourdon, Chief Information Officer at Mastech Digital, shared his experience with RingCentral's solutions: "Before implementing RingEX, we struggled with a patchwork of local providers and outdated systems that hindered our productivity and collaboration. Using a fully compliant solution gives us peace of mind in that we will no longer worry about potential regulatory issues or service disruptions that could impact our operations in India."
"The cloud-based nature of the platform means we can scale effortlessly as our team in India grows. The flexibility and easy-to-use capabilities of RingEX allowed us to bring effortless business communications to our operations in India within 10 days."
The integration of UCaaS and CCaaS provides significant value by streamlining processes and enhancing customer engagement strategies. Key benefits include a fully compliant cloud phone service backed by Indian regulatory bodies, reliable operation with 99.999% uptime, and native omnichannel capabilities supporting various communication mediums.
Denise Lund, Research Vice President of Worldwide UC&C and Telecom at IDC, remarked on the alignment of RingCentral's solutions with India's digital transformation goals, stating, "Global RingEX Select and RingCX cloud-based architecture aligns well with India's digital transformation initiatives, offering scalability and flexibility that traditional on-premise solutions struggle to match. As India continues to establish itself as a global hub for customer service operations, the two solutions provide rich capabilities with AI that any size company can quickly implement to benefit employees and customers."
