MSI launches back-to-school laptop offers in India

MSI has launched its Back to School May promotions campaign in India, covering selected laptops sold through offline retailers, Flipkart and MSI brand stores.

The campaign offers a one-year extended warranty valued at INR 4,999, instalment plans of up to 24 months and a backpack bundle on some models. It applies to selected gaming and non-gaming laptops, with participating offline retailers including Croma and Vijay Sales.

Eligible models for the warranty extension in offline channels include gaming ranges such as Crosshair, Pulse, Katana, Cyborg and Thin. Covered non-gaming lines include Summit, Prestige, Modern and Creator Series laptops.

Online, the promotion is limited to Flipkart, where selected products will carry a free one-year warranty extension shown on product pages.

Finance options

Instalment plans are a central part of the promotion. Bajaj Finserv is offering no-cost and low-cost EMI plans for up to 18 months, while PineLabs and ShopSe are offering EMI tenures of up to 24 months.

The financing is aimed at students and younger buyers considering higher-ticket devices, particularly in gaming and premium notebook categories where prices can exceed INR 1,00,000. MSI is also bundling some in-store purchases with a free backpack on select Modern, Thin, Cyborg and Katana laptops sold through MSI brand stores.

Model pricing

The promoted range spans entry-level mainstream notebooks to top-end gaming machines. In the offline channel, the Katana 15 HX B14WEK-438IN with Intel Core i5-14450HX, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050, 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage is priced at INR 1,02,990. The Katana 15 HX B14WFK-102IN with Intel Core i7-14650HX and GeForce RTX 5060 is listed at INR 1,51,990.

Several Thin 15 variants are also included, ranging from INR 80,990 for the Thin 15 B13UDX-129IN with Intel Core i5-13420H and GeForce RTX 3050 to INR 89,990 for Thin 15 configurations with Intel Core i7-13620H and GeForce RTX 3050 graphics. Another promoted gaming device, the Katana 15 B13UDXK-107IN, is priced at INR 94,990.

In the productivity segment, MSI has listed the Prestige 14 AI Evo C1MG-058IN at INR 1,07,990 and the Prestige 16 AI Evo B1MG-054IN at INR 1,39,990. The Prestige 13 AI+ Ukiyoe Edition A2VMG-208IN is priced at INR 1,32,990.

At the top end, the Raider 18 HX A14VIG-253IN is listed at INR 3,99,990. The Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth A2XWJG-254IN, equipped with Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX, GeForce RTX 5090 graphics, 96GB of memory and 2TB of storage, is priced at INR 6,29,990.

Flipkart range

On Flipkart, MSI has highlighted a smaller selection of Thin A15 and Modern 14 models. The Thin A15 B7UC-104IN with Ryzen 5 7535HS, 16GB of memory, 1TB of storage and GeForce RTX 3050 graphics is listed at INR 75,990. Other Thin A15 variants include a Ryzen 5 model with 512GB storage at INR 71,990 and a GeForce RTX 2050 configuration at INR 65,990.

The online Modern 14 line-up starts at INR 42,990 for the Modern 14 C13M-115IN with Intel i3-1315U, 8GB of memory and 512GB of storage. Other variants include AMD Ryzen 5 systems priced at INR 47,990 and INR 48,990, while the Modern 14 C13M in Urban Silver with Intel i5-1334U, 16GB of memory, 512GB of storage and Office Home is listed at INR 52,990.

The campaign puts MSI among laptop brands using financing, warranty add-ons and bundled accessories to compete for student and back-to-campus demand in India. Prices in the offer range from mainstream notebooks below INR 50,000 to specialist gaming machines above INR 6,00,000.

The free one-year warranty extension applies only to selected models, with the added cover valued at INR 4,999.
