Meta1st launches AI platform to tackle cyber threats

Fri, 8th Nov 2024

Meta1st has unveiled an artificial intelligence-driven platform aiming to address the human vulnerabilities in cybersecurity.

The newly launched platform by Meta1st is positioned to enhance the security of enterprises by utilising artificial intelligence to tackle weaknesses considered critical in cybersecurity, specifically targeting the human layer. The suite includes several components, most notably Phish 1st, which identifies phishing as a prominent method for cyber breaches. Phish 1st is crafted as a sophisticated tool that goes beyond traditional phishing simulations, aiming to educate and equip employees with the skills required to identify and counteract cyber threats effectively.

The platform also features Learn 1st, providing user-friendly, real-world cyber risk education. This component includes interactive learning modules and customisable quizzes to ensure that employees are consistently made aware of evolving threats and maintain a high level of alertness against such risks.

Additionally, Analyse 1st serves as an AI-driven reporting tool, enhancing email security. It empowers staff members by giving them the tools to report malicious emails, with the device using advanced algorithms to detect threats and advise users accordingly, thus promoting a culture of security awareness within the workplace.

Meta1st's CEO, Qasim Bhatti, commented on the changing dynamics of cyber threats. "The threat landscape has shifted dramatically," Bhatti stated. "Cybercriminals are now leveraging AI to outsmart outdated security measures. We counter this by empowering organisations with the tools to educate their workforce, the most vulnerable part of their security infrastructure, in real-time."

The approach taken by Meta1st is seen as an evolution from traditional security measures, offering continuous adaptive training to help organisations manage human risk more effectively. According to the company, these AI-driven solutions reflect realistic scenarios, preparing employees to respond adeptly to evolving methods employed by cybercriminals.

Bhatti elaborated, "Our journey began with a simple yet profound realisation - while machines and systems constantly evolve, human beings remain susceptible to risks. And often, it's the people, not the machines, that become the weakest link in the cyber defence chain. With this perspective, we embarked on our mission to fortify this human layer against a spectrum of cyber risks, and are delighted to be in a position to launch our new platform as a weapon in this ever-evolving battle."

Meta1st claims its product suite can minimise cyber risk by up to 90% with AI-driven training that identifies specific vulnerabilities, delivers immediate targeted education, and significantly reduces the potential exposure of organisations to frequent cyber threats.

Furthermore, the platform's design supports the enhancement of an organisation's overall resilience. By training employees to manage phishing attempts, social engineering, and other cyber threat forms through real-world attack simulations, Meta1st aims to increase user preparedness to identify, counteract, and mitigate possible breaches, thus diminishing the frequency of cybersecurity-related human errors.
