Dassault Systèmes has confirmed that Karnataka-based KLE Technical University (KLETU) has been selected as a "3DEXPERIENCE Edu Center of Excellence" under its international programme. This selective network now includes 20 institutions worldwide, providing competitive skillsets and abilities to Dassault Systèmes’ clients.
KLETU's designation comes after an extensive one-year evaluation, in which the university showcased a strong commitment to innovation and technological development. This was demonstrated through the establishment of six 'Star Labs', focusing on distinct areas such as visual intelligence, artificial intelligence research, intelligent mobility, electric vehicles, material sciences and energy and environment.
The 3DEXPERIENCE Edu Centers of Excellence, essential components of Dassault Systèmes' initiative, offer students crucial insights and industry-related expertise. These centres blend physical tools with Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE virtual platform, enabling students to learn skills in data science, virtual twin experiences, 3D printing, digital logistics and more.
Deepak NG, Managing Director, India, Dassault Systèmes, explained the impact of KLETU’s addition to the programme. He said, “KLETU now joins a select network of 20 institutions across the globe from which our customers can expect students and professionals having competitive skills and competencies. Our collaboration with KLETU creates a world-class incubator of best practices to not only contribute to the 'Make in India' initiative but also accelerate academic contributions to 'Design in India'.” He further added that the alliance would equip KLETU with the necessary expertise to teach and implement projects beyond smart manufacturing, thereby enhancing future factories.
The recognized 3DEXPERIENCE Edu Center of Excellence is located within the Center for Automation and Robotics Research, one of KLETU's "Star Labs". This facility meets international standards whilst integrating unique abilities, distinguishing it from other Industry 4.0 installations. This hub is an essential resource for industry-driven research and education, promoting collaboration between academia and the rapidly evolving technological sphere.
