VAST Data partners with NVIDIA & Supermicro for AI infrastructure
VAST Data has announced partnerships with technology providers NVIDIA and Supermicro, aiming to meet the rapidly rising demand for AI-ready infrastructure at the industrial scale. These collaborations signify a significant move forward in data architecture technology, providing scalable, future-ready solutions to channel partners, according to the company.
The company has unveiled a new data platform architecture in association with NVIDIA. The platform is primed to offer unmatched performance quality, unparalleled security, and efficiency in terms of space, cost, and power. In the words of Mike Richmond, International Channel Director at VAST Data, "The closer integration of VAST into the NVIDIA AI Infrastructure means our Channel Partners can be assured they are providing their customers with future proof technology for the AI age."
Richmond further emphasised the disruptive nature of the VAST/NVIDIA technology, and the urgency for Channel Partners to adapt to these new opportunities as AI becomes increasingly ubiquitous. Traditional infrastructure systems risk falling behind in the rapidly changing tech landscape.
Marking its second major collaboration, VAST data is partnering with Supermicro to create a full-stack, end-to-end solution. The goal of this partnership is to simplify the creation and expansion of large-scale AI deployments. "Supermicro's growth in the past two years together with its embrace of new, relevant and modern technologies such as NVIDIA GPUs and now their engagement with VAST Data Solutions, allows our joint Channels to deliver the technologies relevant today and for the future, with confidence", said Richmond.
This game-changing solution was first tested and deployed at CoreWeave, a leading specialised GPU cloud provider. Very early on, CoreWeave recognised that, by including storage and database services directly onto NVIDIA BlueField DPUs, streamlining could be achieved not only for infrastructure, but also for user experience by removing bottlenecks in the AI data computing pipeline. Peter Salanki, Vice President of Engineering at CoreWeave commented that this development was "not just keeping pace with the future of cloud data management, but defining it."
"In an era where organisations globally are launching and scaling their AI initiatives at a blistering pace, staying competitive requires them to work with infrastructure providers who are proven at hyperscale", said Renen Hallak, CEO and co-founder of VAST Data. This new solution, he said, is the ideal platform for "the modern era of AI computing". Customers can now directly purchase the fully optimised VAST Data Platform AI solution stack from Supermicro or select distribution channels.
As AI continues to shape the future of technology, these partnerships represent a crucial forward step, demonstrating that collaboration is key in developing AI infrastructure that is both cutting-edge and expansive.
