Sinch unveils new service to boost global RCS adoption

Yesterday

Sinch has introduced its RCS Business Enablement service intended to assist mobile operators with launching, managing, and securing Rich Communication Services (RCS) for Business.

The service responds to the evolving demands of the messaging market where enterprises can leverage RCS' capabilities such as verified and branded senders, rich customer interactions, and enhanced analytics. Sinch aims to assist businesses and mobile network operators in adopting and scaling RCS, facilitating secure and engaging communications on a global scale.

Sinch's service is focused on addressing various challenges faced by telecoms, including monetization, security, regulatory concerns, and technical issues. By providing end-to-end support, Sinch enables telcos to streamline operations and enhance customer interaction experiences without the necessity for in-house management of complex RCS tasks.

François Boshoff, Vice President and Head of Product Management at Sinch, stated, "At Sinch, we understand that customers today expect communications from businesses to be as instant and seamless as those they have with friends and family. That's why we've built a solution that simplifies the launch and running of RCS for mobile operators, empowering them to meet these customer expectations while accelerating time-to-market, reducing costs, and maximizing monetization opportunities. Our goal is simple: let operators focus on growing their business while we handle the heavy lifting."

The RCS Business Enablement service includes several key components designed to optimize operations for telecoms. Sinch Operator Insights offers real-time analytics on traffic trends and messaging types to empower informed decision-making while ensuring compliance. Sinch Rating and Billing simplifies financial management through automated billing processes verified by telecom-specific pricing models, and generates detailed invoices to facilitate financial relationships.

Additionally, Sinch's service includes Agent Approvals & Content Compliance Management, which takes charge of the RCS for Business Agent approval process, working directly with Google's RCS tools to enforce operator-specific policies and ease administrative tasks. The service also includes a Fraud Detection & Security feature that leverages traffic analysis to identify and prevent malicious content, assisting operators in maintaining policy compliance and safety.

The comprehensive offering extends to End-to-End Ecosystem Support, allowing telecoms to outsource wholesale services to Sinch while tapping into global enterprise sales support. This aspect aims to drive revenue opportunities for telecoms without imposing additional costs.

Explaining what the service offers to telecoms, François Boshoff added, "Telecoms are ultimately looking for ways to simplify operations while delivering the personalized, conversational experiences today's customers demand. By combining operational efficiency, robust analytics, and financial transparency, our RCS Business Enablement service provides a complete solution—helping telcos not only launch RCS but monetize and scale it for long-term success."
