HPE expands AI factory solutions with NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs

Yesterday

HPE has announced new AI factory solutions in collaboration with NVIDIA, targeting improved creation, adoption and management of artificial intelligence systems across organisations of all sizes and types.

Central to the announcement is the expansion of the NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE portfolio, which will now include solutions built with NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs. These encompass composable offerings optimised for service providers, model builders, sovereign entities, as well as the next generation of the HPE Private Cloud AI platform designed for enterprise use.

The new AI factory solutions have been designed to integrate the required components into a complete tech stack, reducing the complexity typically faced by organisations building modern AI-ready data centres.

Leadership perspectives

"Generative, agentic and physical AI have the potential to transform global productivity and create lasting societal change, but AI is only as good as the infrastructure and data behind it. Organizations need the data, intelligence and vision to capture the AI opportunity and this makes getting the right IT foundation essential," said Antonio Neri, president and CEO, at HPE. "HPE and NVIDIA are delivering the most comprehensive approach, joining industry-leading AI infrastructure and services to enable organizations to realize their ambitions and deliver sustainable business value."

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, commented, "We are entering a new industrial era — one defined by the ability to generate intelligence at scale. Together, HPE and NVIDIA are delivering full-stack AI factory infrastructure to drive this transformation, empowering enterprises to harness their data and accelerate innovation with unprecedented speed and precision."

Private Cloud AI features

The flagship Private Cloud AI solution within the portfolio is described as a turnkey AI factory platform. It features integration of NVIDIA accelerated computing, networking and software. According to HPE, Private Cloud AI will offer support for NVIDIA Blackwell accelerated computing, leveraging HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers which ranked top in over 23 AI evaluations, and include secure enclaves for tamper prevention and advanced cryptography features.

The platform promises investment protection and the ability to scale from one generation of GPU to the next, now including NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Server Edition GPUs, making it suitable for a broad range of AI workloads. It introduces a federated architecture that pools resources for access by all AI tasks, offers air-gapped management for organisations with strict privacy needs, and provides multi-tenancy for collaboration and partitioning across teams.

New capabilities also include updated NVIDIA AI Blueprints for AI agent creation, and a global "try and buy" programme via Equinix data centres, allowing customers to test the system prior to purchase.

Commenting on the regional impact, Joseph Yang, General Manager, HPC, AI & NonStop, at HPE APAC and India, said, "In Asia Pacific, businesses are seeking AI solutions that deliver high performance while aligning with evolving data sovereignty rules, scalable operations, and fast-moving innovation landscapes. With our expanded AI factory offerings, including HPE Private Cloud AI, we are empowering governments, enterprises, and service providers in the region to accelerate their AI journeys—securely, responsibly, and at scale. We are committed to making AI tangible and transformative across all facets of the APAC economy."

Additional hardware and software

HPE has introduced the Compute XD690 server featuring eight NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs. The product is positioned as a response to market demand for accelerated computing within large-scale AI environments. Management of these complex systems is handled by the HPE Performance Cluster Manager, which includes integrated monitoring and alerting features.

The company also announced that the HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 would support Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, enabling accelerated management and utilisation of unstructured data for AI workloads. This integration is intended to streamline the ingestion, inferencing, training and continuous learning processes for AI applications.

AI ecosystem expansion

The Unleash AI partner ecosystem has grown by 26 new partners, enabling HPE to support over 75 AI use cases through these partnerships, new NVIDIA AI Blueprints and HPE's own professional services. This expanded ecosystem covers use cases such as agentic AI, smart cities, manufacturing, data governance, privacy, video analytics, security, and responsible AI.

Additionally, HPE and Accenture are collaborating to deliver agentic AI solutions tailored for the financial services sector. By combining Accenture's AI Refinery platform, NVIDIA AI Enterprise and HPE Private Cloud AI, the companies are deploying new tools within HPE's own finance organisation and exploring applications in sourcing strategies, spend management and compliance monitoring.

Services and financing

To further support adoption, HPE is offering a comprehensive portfolio of services for planning, financing, building, and securing AI infrastructure. These services cover model development and migration, business analysis, education, deployment, management, and ongoing support.

HPE Financial Services will provide a new programme to help organisations begin their AI projects with lower payments for Private Cloud AI for the first six months. Customers will also have access to financing services that allow them to use existing technology as capital for new AI initiatives.

The new solutions, servers, and services are being staggered in their market release throughout 2025, with various elements already available and additional hardware and features planned for launch later in the year.
