FedEx Cares campaign donates 3,600 kg of essentials

Over 800 FedEx team members have volunteered over 1,000 hours to collect and donate over 3,600 kilograms of essential supplies to communities across the Asia Pacific.

The effort, part of the annual FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign, ran from October to December 2024, allowing participants to donate supplies and support more than 20 non-profit organisations in various countries. FedEx employees from 11 markets, including Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, New Zealand, and Vietnam, participated in the initiative.

The campaign resulted in benefits for over 1,650 individuals, including young children, the elderly, and underserved groups. FedEx teams formed groups of various sizes and partnered with charities to gather necessary items such as packaged food, educational supplies, toys, winter clothing, and hygiene kits. The donations, packed in FedEx Cares purple tote bags, aimed to make a substantial impact on the recipients.

Kawal Preet, President of FedEx Asia Pacific, expressed her satisfaction with the campaign's accomplishments. As part of the broader FedEx Cares commitment, team members globally are encouraged to unite under the initiative "Drive forward. Give back." This ethos promotes charitable giving, employee volunteer efforts, and in-kind shipping services, with a focus on contributing to the communities they serve. In the fiscal year 2024, FedEx contributed USD $55 million in total charitable contributions worldwide, focusing on programs such as Delivering for Good, Sustainable Logistics, and Global Entrepreneurship.
