Bigbasket has announced the launch of BB Matrix, a comprehensive SaaS-based supply chain platform aimed at offering end-to-end visibility across the entire supply chain to enterprises on a global scale.
The platform is designed to provide real-time updates, swiftly identify bottlenecks, and support data-driven decision-making to build resilient supply chains.
The launch coincides with increasing demand for supply chain management (SCM) software globally. A Gartner report anticipates that global annual SCM software expenditure will reach USD $62 billion by 2028, rising from USD $29 billion in 2023, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.3%. Hari Menon, Co-Founder and CEO of Bigbasket, and Rakshit Daga, Chief Product and Technology Officer of Bigbasket, are spearheading this initiative.

The SaaS-based solution claims to reduce transportation costs by nearly 50%, lower lead times by around 60%, and ensure up to 100% supply chain visibility. Rakshit Daga emphasised the platform’s broad applicability across various sectors.

Daga added that the platform integrates AI-driven automation, enhanced visibility from first-mile to mid-mile to last-mile, and has scalable capabilities of handling over 15 million monthly transactions.
BB Matrix incorporates a range of tools including a Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transport Management System (TMS), and Order Management System (OMS), enabling comprehensive transformation of supply chains.
