CommScope announces AI-driven Wi-Fi 7 solutions launch

CommScope has announced the release of several AI-driven solutions from RUCKUS Networks, incorporating generative, edge, and intent-based AI into its Wi-Fi 7 portfolio for enhanced enterprise network optimisation.

The collaboration between RUCKUS Networks and Nokia reveals a joint enterprise solution comprising Nokia's next-generation optical LAN alongside RUCKUS Wi-Fi access points and the RUCKUS One platform. This hybrid promises reduced complexity, space, energy, and cost compared to traditional copper-based LAN systems, positioning it as a future-ready alternative for building and campus connectivity.

Geert Heyninck, General Manager of Broadband Networks at Nokia, highlighted the benefits of the new solution: "Optical LAN is the right technology for enterprise connectivity today and in the future. The RUCKUS AI-Driven Wi-Fi 7 Enterprise Networking Portfolio contains several key components. The IntentAI is an intent-based enterprise networking solution, part of the RUCKUS One network assurance and business intelligence platform. It uses simple language to communicate network configuration impacts and enables self-managed, self-healing networks.

Furthermore, the GenAI Powered Zero-Touch Network aims to enhance IT efficiency by automating complex network onboarding processes, while the EquiFlex feature uses edge-based AI to alleviate network congestion in densely populated areas, potentially improving connection outcomes by as much as 20%.

Additionally, the solution suite includes the AI-Driven Managed Services and Network as a Service (NaaS), which provides a comprehensive range of services for various customer needs, including the newly introduced virtualised broadband network gateway as a service.

The Template-Based Configuration Management Solution allows for scalable deployment and management of network configurations, optimising security and compliance. Moreover, the portfolio comprises a selection of Wi-Fi 7 access points, including indoor and outdoor models, tailored for different industry needs.
